Pluralism, Relativism and Tolerance

Dick Keyes reflects on the three ideas of Pluralism, Relativism and Tolerance and the relationship between them. He argues that there is great confusion about these concepts, what they mean and what they imply.

He concludes that:

  • Pluralism is something that we are to accept
  • Relativism is something that we must resist
  • Tolerance is something we should strive for
