 Get Involved

We’d love you to get more involved with bethinking and we’ve put lots of ideas below. Please get in touch if you need any help on this or if you’ve got any other ideas to share.

Keep up to date

  • Sign up for the bethinkers email, which will keep you up to date with what’s happening on bethinking and give more ideas about getting involved.

Publicise bethinking.org and the need for apologetics

  • Tell your friends about us: link to us from your own website or blog or Facebook or in your signature at the end of your e-mails (or get someone else to do it for you) [logo with link to be provided]
  • If you liked an article or talk, send the link to a friend who you think would like it. (The Send to a friend button is at the top of every article – all the information is automatically inserted – just add the e-mail address).
  • Put up a bethinking poster on your CU or youth club notice board.
  • Have some bethinking business cards or postcards available to give to anyone who might be interested in following up a conversation by finding out more.
  • Could you write an article for your church newsletter, newspaper or magazine, about the need for Christians to be able to communicate the evidence for their beliefs and to show that our faith is reasonable (1 Peter 3:15). Mention some articles on bethinking.org that have helped you.

If you give talks…

  • Mention bethinking.org in any talks you may give where it’s relevant. Have bethinking postcards available (request them here) to remind people of the website address.
  • Give a talk on some aspect of apologetics to your CU, youth group, homegroup or church. Use bethinking.org for ideas of what to talk about and what you can say. For those who want to delve deeper, recommend bethinking and other good apologetics websites for people to find out more (have bethinking postcards available to give out at the end). We hope to have a Powerpoint outline and speaking notes (5 minutes) available soon for you to download. You can use this as a starting point for your own talk, or use it as a 5 minute talk on its own.

Help us improve

  • Email us with any suggestions for resources that we should put onto bethinking. Have you heard a really good talk or sermon that we might be able to put on? Give us the details and a contact point (and tell the speaker you think this should go onto a website like bethinking). Have you read a book or article recently that really helped you? Let us have the details and we’ll follow it up. Or just let us know that you want more articles on a particular topic and we’ll see what we can find.
  • Pray that bethinking will strengthen the faith of Christians and challenge those who are searching for the truth.
  • Pray for us as we seek to develop bethinking.org and to find the right resources to go on it.
  • We’d love to do more with bethinking.org and expand awareness of what we do more widely within the church. This does involve various costs. If you would like to, and can afford it, we would welcome any donations towards the costs of running and developing bethinking.org. Please contact the UCCF Main Office for how to do this (online giving will be available in the future).
